We are seeking a Professional Remote Clinical Therapist to Join our Team!

Position Overview:

The Clinician II will be responsible for completing client assessments, and ensuring all compliance procedures and protocols are followed. This position requires a deep understanding of addiction medicine, and behavioral health. The Clinician will work closely with multidisciplinary treatment teams to provide individualized care plans. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping people in need and have the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to provide rapid clinical psychosocial assessments and treatment/management.

  • Collaborates with peers/staff to develop client treatment strategies and formulate diagnoses.

  • Performing compliance audits as needed

  • Drafting, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures related to compliance

  • Serves as an information resource to clinical team.

  • Assess and diagnose mental health, and substance abuse.

  • Reviewing notes to ensure compliance.

  • Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate services.

  • Provide supervision as needed.

  • Provide individual and group counseling services if needed

  • Actively participating in treatment team meetings and company training.

  • Monitor client progress and make adjustments to treatment plans.

  • Ensure all documentation is done in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with federal, state and local regulatory requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

  • Possesses knowledge of specific substance use/psychiatric illnesses, procedures, and treatments.

  • Ability to gather and analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.

  • Ability to prioritize decisions based upon multiple criteria and identifiable standards.

  • Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.

  • Experience engaging and collaborating with stakeholders.

Job requirements

To be considered for the Remote Clinical Therapist role at Choice Recovery Path, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, clinical psychology, or closely related field.

  • Independent New Mexico license required (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, LPAT, and PhD).

  • Current and Valid New Mexico driver’s license.

  • Ability to become credentialed with payor sources.

  • Successful experience in mental health, substance abuse or related field, preferably a minimum of 3-5 years.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook.

  • Experience in or the ability to learn how to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, which includes appointment scheduling, authorization, tracking, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

  • Experience working with those who have mental illness, substance use disorders and intellectual disabilities.
